Yuxin (Christina) Tang

Yuxin (Christina) Tang is a senior data analyst/computational research specialist in the Research & Development division at ETS. She joined ETS in January 2001 and has worked on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and other special projects for more than 20 years. She has successfully led and worked on NAEP operational assessments such as geography, mathematics, math long-term trend, science, civics, history, music and visual arts, and she was also a key data analyst working on some special research projects such as the Puerto Rico study, exploratory analysis of charter schools, and Math Computer-Based Study. She coordinates activities between data analysts across subject teams and also provides insight and data analysis perspective to psychometric and assessment development staff.

She has been an active member of the NAEP Studies special interest group (SIG) of the American Education Research Association (AERA). She was the treasurer for the SIG from 2007 to 2009, she has presented a financial report to the SIG members at the AERA annual meeting, and she drafted the NAEP Studies SIG bylaw in 2008.

Tang has a bachelor of engineering in automatic control from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China. In 2000, she received an M.S. in mathematical statistics from State University of New York at Binghamton. In 2006, she received an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.
