Abstract

To ensure that high-quality assessments will be available to support and measure progress towards the NGSS, we cannot delay work to develop these assessments. Therefore, as new curricula and models of teacher preparation and professional development are created to support implementation of the NGSS, it is vital that we also consider how to assess student learning relative to the new standards.
