Abstract

At a conference of persons interested in multiple factor analysis which convened at Educational Testing Service in November, 1951, it was recommended that a project be organized to select tests to represent each of the better established factors in the aptitude area. It was intended that use of the selected tests for reference purposes in factor studies would facilitate interpretation and the confident comparison of one factor study with another. Separate but overlapping committees were assigned to work on each factor. Fifteen factors are described.
