The purpose of the present memorandum is to explore the feasibility of establishing a unique table giving comparable scores on the Scholastic Aptitude Test and the American Council on Education Psychological Examination. The first portion of this memorandum attempts to define the sources of error in such a table, and draws some conclusions regarding their implications for a table of comparable scores. The second portion presents empirical evidence regarding some difficulties in setting up such a table. Finally, the third portion presents a study proposal designed to collect a set of data to form the basis of comparable score tables.
