Abstract
This paper was presented at the meetings of the National Catholic Educational Association on April 20, 1954. The characteristics of testing programs are explored. Specifically discussed is a typical high school testing program as having certain characteristics rather than employing certain commonly used tests, although the author draws on a few tests as illustrations of how these characteristics might function.
