This paper was presented in a symposium titled, "Use of High Speed Digital Computers," at the American Psychological Association meeting in New York in September 1954. An introduction to programming problems on high-speed electronic computers is provided. The author notes that many important problems that are ordinarily dismissed as computationally impractical will appear to offer promising lines of research to researchers with convenient access to high-speed computation. He urges more people in psychology to start to using computation facilities that are now available.
