Abstract

This paper was presented at the meetings of the American Psychological Association, Division 5 and the Psychometric Society, September 4, 1957. The research reported in this paper is a validity study of the preference structure values from three paired comparisons of students. The results are based on questionnaires administered to undergraduate students (in 1953, 1955, and 1956) to investigate individual differences in preferences using several desserts as afternoon snacks.
