Abstract

This Research Memorandum presents four experiments in the general area of personality, experiments carried out originally for a senior thesis. Two of the studies deal with rather specific problems: the stability of circular triads will be investigated, and a new analysis of the much discussed Barker, Dembo, and Lewin experiment in Frustration and Regression will be presented. The other studies investigate problems in areas where relatively little work has been done: one reports an investigation of the personality correlates of differential patterns of mathematical and verbal ability, and the other reports an experiment on the effects of word frequency and word affect on stereoscopic perception.
