Abstract

This paper was presented at the symposium on "New Trends in Situational and Performance Testing" at the American Psychological Association Meetings in Chicago in September 1960. A "situational test" is described that concerns an aspect of effective teamwork among business executives. It is built upon an assumption that among members of task oriented groups, shared understanding of their respective roles and duties is a direct indicator of effective teamwork. More specifically, the test yields information about agreements and disagreements among groups of executives about who does what when in solving problems that come their way.
