Abstract

This paper was presented at the American Psychological Association Convention in September 1959. A methodology is described for investigating the content validity of tests. The discussion is illustrated with data drawn from a study of ratings, by a panel of subject matter specialists, of items in an experimental test. The results of the study include several conclusions which may have extended implications.
