Abstract

This paper was presented at the American Psychological Association Meetings in Chicago in September 1960. It reports on an extension of an investigation into the quantitative description of a linguistic operation; i.e., the combination of an intensive adverb with an adjective. Results indicate that the type of cross-cultural psycholinguistic analysis used in the study may have some utility in exploring linguistic similarities and differences.
