Abstract

This paper was presented in part at the American Psychological Association Convention in September 1959. It describes work that was undertaken to develop short but efficient measures of some of the personality characteristics reportedly found by various investigators in populations of normal adults. The author concludes that the research seems to provide further evidence of several measurable patterns in individual difference, but notes that the delineation of the dimensions is not yet clear.
