Abstract

This paper reviews literature dealing with use of the biographical information blank (BIB) among student populations. The studies are considered under the four criterion areas of scholastic grades, creative achievement, persistence in school, and vocational or curriculum choice. Substantial areas of disagreement in application and utility of the BIB as a predictor remain based upon choice of educational criteria and the content of the BIB itself.
