Abstract
A study by French showed that the addition of certain new types of test material to the College Board Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) would result in significant improvement of the validity of the SAT for the prediction of college performance by students of high ability. The present study examined the validity of these same types of test materials over the wider range of ability which characterizes college freshmen in College Board member colleges.
