Abstract

Previous research indicated that there were three dimensions underlying the way expert judges evaluated two sets of drawings as being similar or different. Related research also disclosed that there were three viewpoints about the overall artistic quality of these drawings. In the present analyses, the drawings' factor loadings on the three similarity dimensions were correlated with their factor scores on the three viewpoints. The results of this investigation were consistent with previous descriptions of the drawings' characteristics that distinguished the different viewpoints.
