Abstract

During the academic year 1966-1967, the author interviewed hundreds of "graduates" of the College Board's Advanced Placement Program to find out how the Program looked to them after four years on college campuses across the country: What did they think of the advanced preparation they had received in secondary school? Of their reception and placement in college? Of the effect of these variables on their overall college experience, choice of major, plans for further education, and choice of career?
