Abstract
Grade point averages are sometimes criticized as criteria for predictor studies on the grounds that they report an uncontrolled conglomeration of different underlying abilities. However, a factor analytic examination of the grades obtained at two graduate schools of business indicated that the grades were factorily simple, requiring the postulation of only one underlying ability.
