During the period 1965-1972, 172 reports were issued by ETS, usually in the form of research bulletins, under a $2,407,540 grant from National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHHD). This report summarizes the progress of that research and lists the results considered most significant by the investigators. The report is written as statements under six headings: 1) mathematical models and methods; 2) personality structure and measurement; 3) personality and cognition in interpersonal contexts; 4) cognitive and socio-emotional development in infants and young children; 5) learning and the development of cognitive processes; and 6) psycholinguistic research. A list of publications--journal articles, books and theses, and ETS Research Bulletins and Memoranda is attached. The statements are keyed by ETS report number or, in a few cases, by publication date to the appropriate references in the list of publications.
