Abstract

A model, College Research Center (CRC), is presented through which several colleges may work together to meet certain of their institutional research needs. It entails continuing participation by several (probably relatively small) colleges in a jointly supported program of data collection, surveys, tests and evaluation. Benefits and requirements of this model, as well as practical problems that have occurred with it, and suggestions for future directions in research are given. An appendix presents one sample questionnaire of 85 "questions which may be thought of as relevant for higher institutions."
