Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) candidates were surveyed to determine what methods they used to prepare for the GMAT. The frequencies of use of various test preparation resources were compared for subgroups of test candidates, and the GMAT scores of test takers who prepared in various ways were compared with those of candidates who did not prepare in these ways. Implications of the study are discussed for advising test candidates about preparing for the test and for estimating the effects of special test preparation on test scores. (20pp.)
