Abstract
This Policy Information Report describes trends in course-taking by high school students during the education reform decade of the 1980s. It also includes data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) on the courses that college-bound seniors take, on Advanced Placement Program (AP) participants, and on teachers' instructional emphasis.
