Abstract
The following document describes a mathematical method for locating a new building so that it will not cast shadows on existing buildings during business hours. This and other questions dealing with sunlight and shadows can be determined from the apparent motion of the Sun on the solstices, approximately June 22nd and December 22nd. (31pp.)
