Abstract
Is there a computer method to determine that an office is laid out so it is suitable for access by a wheelchair user? There must be a continuous path from the office door to items that the handicapped employee can reach and use, such as telephones, computers, office equipment, and so on. It is also required that there be an accessible space in the office sufficient to turn the wheelchair through a complete circle. Techniques for computer verification of a wheelchair- accessible office layout are described in the following pages.
