This report explores the possibility of authoring situational judgment test (SJTs) by means of photorealistic animation methods. The exploration is motivated by research suggesting the value of video as a delivery format and the impending increase in the use of SJTs in higher stakes tests where security is a major consideration. Photorealistic animation methods could make it possible to reduce the cost of producing video-based SJTs. A specific approach is proposed to create multiple versions of an SJT by enacting the action through virtual humans interacting in a number of virtual environments.
