Abstract

In addition, the working group recommends against the formation of an internal or external advisory group with a focus on geocultural sensitivity issues for ETS assessments since this does not appear warranted. Lastly, the working group recommends that an experimental research study be designed and conducted on the performance of examinees to investigate the affective and cognitive effects of the inclusion of U.S.–centric contexts in test items, as compared with data from items with a broader set of contexts.
