Abstract
We discuss the growing importance of improving the efficiencies of test development processes in light of the demands posed by large-scale accountability assessments. This paper explores the potential synergies among standards for test content interoperability, standards for accessibility, and a model-based approach to the production of test content stemming from reliance on a common representation scheme for test content based on the Extensible Markup Language (XML).
