Abstract

Determining a pass/fail cut score for each part of the assessment was the primary goal of this study. The modified Angoff standard-setting approach was applied to Part 1, and a variation of the dominant profile approach was applied to Part 2. Panelists also confirmed no change in the meaning of passing scores on the new version of the assessment instrument. Twenty-one administrators and teachers from five states served on the standard-setting panel.
