Abstract
In education, the application of ranking systems is not used, even though the ranking of examinees is a common practice. For example, stakeholders rank universities, administrators use test scores to admit students to colleges, and teachers rank students to place them in advanced tracks. In this paper, we review several ranking systems that have potential application in educational assessment. These ranking systems include models that rank two-player systems such as Ingo, Elo, Glicko, and Edo and multiplayer systems such as TrueSkill.
