EPN Newsletter

TOEFL Family of Assessments

Welcome to our first ETS Preferred Network newsletter!

Welcome to our first EPN newsletter for the TOEFL® Family of Assessments. In an effort to work more seamlessly with partners all over the world, the TOEFL marketing team is working to ensure more frequent contact and communication with you and your teams. We want to keep you up to date on all the exciting changes to come for each TOEFL program! One such change is the refresh of the TOEFL Family webpage and the launch of the TOEFL Family Research page. These pages were created and refreshed as a first step in starting to tell the TOEFL Family story.

Going forward, we will send a newsletter with all the latest TOEFL updates every six months and also conduct regional marketing conference calls every quarter. The conference calls will allow the TOEFL marketing team to hear from you directly, better understand specific challenges or needs at the country market level and give your marketing teams the chance to work more directly with our marketing team in Princeton.

Our goal is to support you and your team, and we look forward to working together more often and more directly. Of course, we will continue to send ad hoc emails, such as EPN Action Required, as they are needed.

TOEFL® Young Students Series challenges students to make the world a better place

The TOEFL® Young Students Series GO English! "Make the World a Better Place" campaign launched on Sept. 1, 2018. Thanks to all of you for providing feedback into the selection of the final theme! By now, you should have received all the promotional materials to send directly to your school contacts. The SharePoint® site has been updated with all the supporting materials and presentation as well.

By the end of December 2018, please be sure to complete the Client list form and submit the list of schools that received the promotional materials to Sue Roake. This information is critical so we can determine how to improve or change the program to ensure it continues to yield positive results in your countries. The project deadline for submissions is March 1, 2019.

In addition to a new platform for the Speaking test, a digital version of the Reading and Listening tests was recently launched. Initial feedback has been extremely positive, and the team is looking to roll it out in additional countries in 2019. The digital test format will provide schools with the flexible option to choose between paper or online testing. Best of all, with digital you will be able to let schools have access to students' scores immediately following the test administration.

If you are interested in launching either the TOEFL Primary Speaking test or digital version of the TOEFL Primary Reading and Listening tests, please contact your Channel Representative.

Changes coming to the TOEFL Junior® Program

A stand-alone version of the TOEFL Junior® Speaking test is also now available on the following digital platforms: Windows® PC, Mac®, iPad® and Chromebook™. The TOEFL Primary and TOEFL Junior tests have been launched in the same countries as the TOEFL Primary Speaking tests. Please refer to the table above for the dates the TOEFL Junior Speaking test scores will be available. The website has been updated to reflect these exciting new updates.

Score User Network (SUN) Report Update

Effective Oct. 1, 2018, the TOEFL ITP Program discontinued the Score User Network (SUN) Report. The report was initially developed to collect and promote our active TOEFL ITP Score User community across the globe. Thank you for your contribution in supporting the report.

In an effort to provide more value to our end users, the program will allocate resources to growing the new TOEFL Connect portal. The SUN Report has been removed from the TOEFL ITP website and the SharePoint site. Should you still have a need for the last report, please contact your Channel Manager.

Do You Have Customer Stories to Share?

We're always interested in hearing from our score users and how our tests benefit their students and schools. Do you have a score user who is willing to share their TOEFL YSS or TOEFL ITP experience with us? If so, please let us know so we can turn that story into a case study or testimonial for our marketing materials. We look forward to hearing from you.
