Korea is widely recognized for its low crime rate and efficient public transportation system, making it easy to travel within cities and across the country.

Part-time work is available during the study period. However, it is subject to certain conditions and students must consult with university staff in advance of engaging in any part-time work.

English Proficiency Requirements

The TOEFL iBT test is one of the official English language test options accepted by the Ministry of Education, and all Korean higher education institutions accept TOEFL iBT scores for international admissions.

 

Minimum English proficiency requirement for English-track programs in Korea: TOEFL iBT 3.5 (or 59, if taken before January 21, 2026)

Students can find essential information on each university’s website including admission guidelines for international students which contain important dates, available majors and programs, and required documents.

The academic year runs from March through December. There are two semesters: Spring/first semester which starts in March and Fall/second semester which starts in September, with breaks for holidays.
