Abstract
The usefulness of "path analysis" is demonstrated by applying it to a set of kindred problems, including the correlation of true scores over time allowing specified measurement errors to be correlated, the "bouncing beta" in stepwise regression analysis, the specification of the number and interrelationships of latent variables in a set of data, adjustments for covariate unreliability in the analysis of covariance, and the analysis of multitrait-multimethod matrices.
