Abstract
A latent trait model for estimating guessing or risk taking tendency is presented, and a procedure for maximum likelihood estimation of individual guessing tendencies is outlined. An example is presented which supports the validity of this estimate; and which supports the contention that guessing tendency and ability are unrelated. (9pp.)
