Data from the June 1980 adminstration of the GRE were used (a) to pre-equate complete, operational quality V, Q, and A sections of the GRE using one-variable-section, linear, section pre-equating (SPE), and (b) to check the adequacy of the results by comparing them to equatings derived by the random-halves method. The results are mixed. The V scores were satisfactorily equated for one set, but the results for a second set were unsatisfactory. As expected, the strong practice affects for the A sections caused poor SPE results for the A sections. (62pp.)
