TOEIC Score Reports

How you’ll receive TOEIC score reports depends on whether the test was administered at a public or institutional testing session.

Public testing session

If the test is taken at a public test center (not at the request of an organization), test takers receive their scores directly from the local ETS Preferred Network (EPN) office. Scores are confidential and released only to ETS and test takers. Test takers can use these score globally.

Institutional testing session

When ETS administers TOEIC tests at the request of a sponsoring organization or educational institution — either on site or at a test center — results are reported in a score roster and/or score report that is sent directly from the EPN office to the sponsoring organization or institution. Scores are confidential and released only to ETS and the sponsoring organization; they aren’t globally portable.

Score roster

The score roster is intended for internal use only and can’t be used by test takers as an indication of their official score. The score roster helps organizations interpret scores and includes:

  • individual scores for each section and total score
  • scores from the most recent testing session and at testing sessions within the same institution
  • scores within the client's industry and country
  • specialized reports that can be reproduced at the client's request, which may include organizational results for all test takers during a given time period or in certain job categories

Score review

Test takers who feel their TOEIC scores don’t accurately reflect their ability in English can contact their local EPN office within 1 month of the test date. View details of the score review process in the Score User Guide for each test.
